William Edward Galvin, LUTCF

Mr. Galvin has worked in the financial services industry since 1990.  The William E. Galvin Company is affiliated with TDA Insurance in Novi, MI. 

His practice has an emphasis on group and employee benefits for businesses.  Mr. Galvin also actively advises high net worth individuals with their insurance and investment needs, Mr. Galvin has lectured on income protection and wealth preservation at McLaren Oakland Hospital (previously Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital), Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University, Botsford Hospital and other professional organizations and institutions.  

Mr. Galvin is also an active leader in his community.  He has served as a member of the Farmington City Council since 2011 and is the current Mayor of the City of Farmington.  He has also served on local boards and commissions including the Southwest Oakland County Cable Commission (SWOCC), the Farmington Area Commission on Aging, the Farmington Intergovernmental Task Force, the F2H Fit Challenge, the Greater Farmington Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Farmington Downtown Development Authority Board and the Farmington Retiree Healthcare Trustees.

In 1996 Mr. Galvin completed a fellowship in insurance planning through the Life Underwriter Training Council and The American College of Financial Services.

Mr. Galvin graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelors’ degree in economics.  While at the University of Dayton he received a scholarship as student manager for the Men’s Basketball Team.  He is a graduate of Catholic Central High School where he earned six varsity letters in cross country and track and was a member of two state championship cross country teams.  

Over the years Mr. Galvin has been active in community volunteerism as a coach and manager of his children’s youth hockey, baseball and lacrosse teams.  He is a past member of the Catholic Central High School Board of Directors and past president of the Catholic Central High School Alumni Association.

Mr. Galvin grew up in Farmington Hills, MI.  He and his wife Shari and their two children Brittany and Brian have lived in Farmington, MI since 1998.
